These have been getting rave reviews, and I did think it's finally a DR800 replacement. It's got an extra cylinder to count against that, but has probably twice the power. There are hardly any big singles these days anyway. It does look surprisingly like the DR800 and even has a plastic skid plate. Seems a lot more like the DR than all the other V-Stroms.
I quite like it. What do you guys think?

Yep, that'll do - but does it sound like the end of the world, like my Big does?

Short answer - no.
There's nothing like the sound of the Big - single cylinder, massive displacement, air cooling.
