Hi all, I didn't fit the upper chain roller on my frame because I'm sure I read somewhere that it wasn't a good idea. Can anyone confirm this, or should I fit one ?

It`s there to help the chain stop flapping about. I`ve had one on all my Bigs with no issue for 30 odd years.
