As you can see, looks like I've lost about 2 inch from the end of my header pipe due to rust. So that means it doesn't reach the tail pipe :lolno: .
I've ordered from ebay a length of mild steel tube so I'm going to cobble together summit to make the bugger work. I have a Hessler s/s header that I may be able to fit with said ebay pipe.

I've covered the number plate, and then remembered I hadn't bothered in earlier photo's Banghead

Well, back on the road tomorrow, into residential/ nursing homes , I hope I don't get C19. Strange times, but as they all say..........stay safe Thumbup

Well,
2 inches of new pipe (thanks ebay) mig welded on the end of my header pipe, fitted it today, added fuel and feck me if it didn't start second kick. Very happy with this. Cleaning up the body work and fitting it tomorrow and I'm going do a cheeky little ride out (around 2 miles).
Stay safe ya'll

Well, nearly finished. Needs new £60.00 screen, wheels refurbed and that's about it. I took it for a spin and it rides nicely. Thought it was a bit vague in the handling department. Checked the tyre pressures, 8 psi rear & 11 psi front :o .

Thanks Bob, it's been really enjoyable. Mainly because I haven't rushed it. I still have some things to tidy/replace, but I'm happy with the bike. When the virus is under control, and I have confidence in the 650, I'd like to take it over to Normandy to see the sights. The simplicity of the older machines is what I like. Long live people like us that keep them going.

She is looking lovely Rob, the work is a credit to ya Thumbup
I very nearly bought that exact model off a lad on Galway about 13 yrs back but I couldn't kick start it as my leg was just out of cast.
Enjoy it and I'd love to see it in person if we all ever organise a meet one day.

Tanks H,
