Does any one have a scrap original silencer for a 1979 DR750?

They fell apart after about 1 week from new !!! you can fit a GSXR 1000 can
1979??? Really? They didn`t appear till October 1987 so you must have a very early prototype!
I have an original OE silencer but it`s in mint condition and you couldn`t afford it.
I doubt if there`s another one anywhere. As Spen says, they fell apart in no time.

Thanks for responding, I’m looking for a scrap exhaust, to strip and see if I can remanufacture one. I know it’s odd but that’s me!!!
Good luck with that one, it might be a long wait though.

I didn't even notice the date, I assumed it was 1989 , how did you end up with a new standard can ?? must be worth a mint to anyone restoring a bike
Picked it up off Fleabay years ago from a dealer that didn`t know what it was

I did mean 1989 just got stubby digits? just finished renovation going for mot tomorrow
